All is right with the world...

Since I'm on my self-imposed media blackout, I've been appreciating nature a little bit more. There's been a bald eagle flying around the house this month. He's a little threatening to the German Shepherd puppy. So far, though, Smoky is safe. Carl (the cat) came in last night with some sort of sting on his front leg. He looked extremely pissed off.

All is right with the world when a flock of geese fly overhead. (Or is it a gaggle of geese?) I really love the sound of geese honking. I can't help but smile and look up when I hear them. I feel connected to the planet when they are near. That's what is so great about this time of year on the high plains.

Media Blackout

I've been on a self-imposed media blackout for the past week. I am utterly disgusted by the amount of media coverage of politics since January 1.

Are there no wars going on?
Are there no missing blonde-headed girls?
Are there no miraculous jumbo jet landings?

No...Guess not.

But Michelle Obama wore a yellow dress to the inauguration! Now that's news!

Look at St. Mary's!

The brick sculpture is being installed. How exciting! You can see the toes of the Christ child. It is approximately 20 by 20 and can be seen from Washington St. So cool!
